Our Coaches...
At BGAC we pride ourselves in having a wide range of fully qualified and DBS checked coaches, who dedicate their time and effort into helping all our athletes to fulfil their full potential. We are fortunate to have a team of volunteer coaches that help week in week out in the club throughout the year and in all weathers, on the track, off road or in the school sports hall.
Generally around the age of 14, young athletes may have found that they excel and have a particular interest in a specific track or field event. However early specialisation is not advisable for young athletes so we would encourage a multi distance approach for our younger athletes. Athletes within our event coaching groups typically compete for the club and many at higher levels such as county and national level. They are expected to compete for the club whenever they are selected and available.
